Baked apple cake recipe details
Ingredients
4 medium | apples |
4 tsp | raspberry jam |
125 g | butter, plus extra to grease the tin |
125 g | sugar |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
2 | eggs |
250 g | all-purpose flour |
½ tsp | baking powder |

20 g | almond slivers |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C.Peel the apples, remove the core and fill 1 teaspoon of raspberry jam in each apple.
Beat together soft butter, sugar, and salt until creamy, then fold in the eggs. Mix together the flour, baking powder and cinnamon and stir this into the butter mixture.
Lightly grease a spring form (∅ 20 cm). Pour the batter into the spring form and push the apples lightly in the batter – they don’t need to be covered completely. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 75 minutes. For the last 10 minutes of baking sprinkle the cake with almond slivers.
