Bacon cheese pizza recipe details
A classic Italian flavor mixture known as “carbonara” tops this easy homemade pizza.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- Cornmeal
- 1 pound pizza dough, at room temperature
- Olive oil
- 1/4 pound bacon, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large egg yolks, beaten
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Black pepper
- 2 cups shredded Provolone cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 12 mins1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F and put a few pinches of cornmeal on a baking sheet (this will help prevent the pizza from sticking to the sheet).
2. Roll out the pizza dough on the baking sheet. Coat with olive oil, then bake for 8 minutes until very lightly browned.
3. While crust is baking, pour 1 tablespoon olive oil into a skillet and set over medium heat. Cook bacon in hot oil for about 5 minutes until lightly browned, then allow to cool slightly.
4. Mix pancetta, ricotta, Parmesan, egg yolks, garlic, and black pepper together in a bowl. Spread over the crust, then top with Provolone.
5. Bake for 12 minutes, until cheese has melted and pizza is very hot. Top with parsley, slice, and serve.
