Ingredients

½  lemon, juice
400 g apples, peeled, cored and finely diced
2 tbsp milk
125 g butter
100 g sugar
1 pack(s) vanilla sugar
1 dash(es) salt
3 medium eggs
200 g flour
2 tsp baking powder
200 g plums, halved and stones removed
For the crumbles:
75 g flour
60 g sugar
50 g ground walnuts
60 g butter
½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

In a bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Whisk in the eggs. Stir in the sieved flour, the salt and the baking powder, in turn with the milk. Stir until well combined.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Pour the batter into a buttered cake form. Sprinkle the apples with lemon juice. Cover the cake base with the plums and apples.

Mix together the crumble ingredients and knead until crumbly. Sprinkle the cake with the crumbles. Bake for 35-45 minutes.
