Au gratin parsley root and potatoes recipe details
Ingredients
800 g | parsley root, peeled and sliced |
400 g | potatoes, peeled and sliced |
2 tbsp | butter |
1 clove(s) | garlic, chopped |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
nutmeg | |
200 ml | milk |
200 ml | single cream |
30 ml | dry white wine |
4 slice(s) | Cheddar cheese |
Instructions
In a buttered casserole dish, layer the parsley roots and the potatoes, season each layer with salt, pepper and nutmeg and sprinkle with garlic. Mix together the milk, the wine and the cream.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Pour the cream sauce over potato and parsley root. Bake for 30 minutes or until soft. Top with the cheese and bake for 6-8 more minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Serve with fresh salad.
