A great frozen peas recipe for beginning cooks, serve this stir fry side dish alongside your favorite Chinese meat dish.
Ready in: 20 mins
- 2 teaspoons hulled sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup minced red onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1/4 pounds asparagus, tough stems removed, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 10 mins
1. Place sesame seeds in a dry skillet and place over low heat. Cook, stirring, until seeds turn golden. Remove from heat.
2. Pour oil into large skillet over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic in hot oil for 5 minutes, then add remaining ingredients. Cook for 5 more minutes, until asparagus is tender but not limp.
3. Serve with rice.
