Arroz con leche recipe details
Ingredients1. Short grain white rice (1/2c about 4 oz)
2. salt (a pinch)
3. lemon rind (3strips)
4. cinnamon stick (1)
5. milk (2c )
6. ground nutmeg (1tsp)
7. butter (1/2stick about 2 oz)
8. sugar (1/3c about 3 oz)
9. egg yolks, beaten (3 medium)
Method of preparation
1. Take a large saucepan, place it over heat. Add milk, strip of lemon rind, cinnamon stick and salt in it. Mix it and keep it to boil.
2. Then take out the lemon rind and cinnamon stick from the pan with a slotted spoon. Then mix rice and egg yolks in it. Turn down the heat to low and keep the rice to simmer for about 15 minutes by stirring it regularly.
3. When the rice becomes soft then adds sugar and butter in it and mixes them properly. Now pour this mixture into a serving dish. Dust nutmeg on it and then serve it warm.
