Arroz amarillo recipe details
Ingredients
1 tbsp | butter |
2 tbsp | olive oil |
1 small | onion, chopped |
2 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
250 g | long grain rice |
500 ml | chicken stock |
½ tsp | saffron |
1 tsp | turmeric |
some | salt |
Instructions
Heat butter and olive oil in a saucepan. Sauté onion and garlic until lucent. Add rice and sauté for 2-3 minutes on high heat. Deglace with chicken stock and bring to the boil. Add saffron, turmeric and salt.Cover and cook for 20 minutes on medium heat until the liquid is absorbed and the rice cooked. Uncover and dry the rice for 3 more minutes over low heat, then serve.
