Ingredients
Serves: 10- 6 ounces walnuts
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup chunky applesauce
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation method
Prep: 25 mins | Cook: 50 mins1. Preheat over to 350 F. Grease and flour 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
2. Chop walnuts coarsely; set aside. Beat milk, butter, and sugar in
3. Medium bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
5. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda;
6. Gradually add to butter mixture, stirring until blended. Stir in apples sauce, cinnamon and walnuts until well blended; pour batter into loaf pan.
7. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes; remove from pan, and cool on wire rack. Wrap in foil and store at room temperature.
