Ingredients
For the dough: | |
170 g | flour |
15 g | fresh yeast |
70 ml | warm milk |
30 g | soft butter |
2 tbsp | sugar |
1 medium | egg |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
For the topping: | |
500 g | apples |
1 tbsp | sugar |
For the crumble: | |
50 g | flour |
50 g | sugar |
30 g | butter, softened |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
Instructions
Sieve the flour in a bowl and form a well in the center. Mix the yeast with a dash of sugar and a little of the milk. Stir slightly and dust with some flour. Let stand for 15 minutes at a warm place. After 15 minutes add the remaining milk, butter, sugar, egg and salt and knead until the dough ist smooth and pliable. Let the dough rise for a further 15 minutes at a warm place.Peel and slice the apples. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Roll out the dough and place it on the baking tray. Cover with the apple slices and sprinkle with sugar.
Combine flour, sugar and salt and rub in the butter with your fingertips to achieve pea-size crumble. Spread the crumble on top of the apples. Reduce the heat of the oven to 180°C and bake the cake for 30 – 35 minutes.
