Apple puffs recipe details
Ingredients
250 g | puff pastry |
2 small | apples, peeled, cored |
pastry cream, see database for recipe | |
2 tsp | butter |
Instructions
Preheat oven to 170°C.Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6-8 equal sheets.
Peel and core apples. Cut into very small pieces.
Prepare pastry cream and set aside.
Place the first pastry sheet in front of you and spoon apple pieces in the middle. Top with pastry cream. Take ends and fold them over the apples and sauce so that you have a little square pastry – well sealed – in front of you. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients. You should have 6 – 8 puff depending on how big or small you cut the pastry to begin with.
Melt butter in a baking tray and then place all puffs on the baking tray. Bake for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and leave to cool a little.
For decoration: sprinkle with powdered sugar.
