Apple pfannkuchen recipe details
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup flour
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
- Filling:
- 2 cups thinly sliced apples or peaches
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Blend milk, eggs, flour, sugar, salt, and lemon peel with wire whisk. Melt the 2 Tablespoons butter in a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate in hot oven and pour batter into melted butter. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until puffy and golden brown. Put filling in center and serve immediately. (Pancake will collapse shortly after removing it from the oven.)
Filling: Melt butter in skillet. Add fruit, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir and cook over low heat until fruit is tender.
