Ingredients
70 ml | water |
2 tbsp | butter |
120 ml | apple cider |
¼ tsp | cinnamon |
750 g | carrots, sliced |
4 | baking apples, cut into small pieces or slices |
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over low heat. When butter turns light brown remove pan from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.Add the water, apple cider, and cinnamon to the browned butter and bring mixture to a boil over medium heat. Then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
Add the carrots, cover the skillet, and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, for 10 minutes.
Stir the apples into the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes until the apples and carrots are tender.
