Apple cake recipe details
This was my favorite to eat, and now it’s my favorite to make.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 5 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup applesauce
- juice 1 orange
- 3 teaspoons vanilla
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a bowl, coat the apple slices with cinnamon and sugar to liking.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Beat in the eggs and applesauce. Also add the juice of orange and vanilla.
4. Pour half the batter in a cake pan and arrange the apples on top. Pour the rest of the batter in the pan and top with the remaining apples.
5. Bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes.
