Anna maria pancake recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 1-1/4 cups flour
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- Powdered sugar
- Lime juice (approximately 2 limes)
- Fresh berries (optional)
Preheat oven to 415 degrees. In large, oven-safe skillet, melt butter. In a medium bowl, combine eggs, flour, milk, and vanilla; mix well. Pour batter into melted butter in skillet. Do not stir. At this point, you may add fresh berries if you choose.
Bake pancake in oven for 20 minutes. Pancake will be big and puffy. Immediately pour or squeeze lime juice all over pancake and sprinkle with lots of powdered sugar. This will make a deliciously tart syrup. You may add fresh fruit on top or leave plain. Either way is yummy! Slice and serve.
