Anglesey cake recipe details
Ingredients
240 g | self raising flour |
90 g | butter |
90 g | caster sugar |
1 | egg |
90 g | mixed dried fruit |
3 tbsp | milk |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
Instructions
In a bowl, cream together the butter and the sugar. Add the egg and whisk until pale yellow. Fold in the sieved flour and the salt. Also fold in the dried fruit. Finally stir in milk, as much as is needed to get a smooth consistency.Grease a springform pan. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Transfer the dough into the springform pan and bake the sponge cake for approximately 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Leave in the pan to cool slightly, then turn it out on a wire rack to cool completely.
