Aloha baked apples recipe details
This recipe has been a tradition at Christmas in my sweet-toothed family’s collection for many years. It is best right out of the oven.

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 4 huge Granny Smith apples
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh grated cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- Juice of one lemon
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 35 mins1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Core the apples (do not remove bottoms) and peel just the center of outer skin (do not remove all skin). Set aside.
3. In mixing bowl, combine all other ingredients except the lemon juice.
4. Place the apples upright in a small glass baking dish. Sprinkle sugar mixture generously on & in each apple.
5. Squeeze lemon into each core hole. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
6. The delicious smell will fill your home when a few minutes from done.
