All american beef burgers recipe details
This thick, juicy, succulent burger is grilled to perfection, then topped with smokey bacon and sharp Cheddar cheese. You’ll love the taste and texture of the home-ground meat!

Ingredients
Serves: 4- 16 thick slices, center-cut smoked bacon
- 8 ounces beef sirloin, cubed
- 4 ounces well-marbled beef chuck, trimmed and cubed
- 4 ounces well-marbled beef brisket, trimmed and cubed
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 4 seeded kaiser buns, split
- 1/2 Cup For Special Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 4 slices dill pickle, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- To Dress Burgers:
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 8 slices ripe beefsteak tomato
- 4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
- Kosher salt, freshly ground pepper, to taste
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Cook bacon in a skillet either on the stove over medium heat or grill until crispy, and drain on paper towels. Reserve.
2. Place feed shaft, blade, and 1/4-inch die of meat grinder in freezer until well-chilled. Meanwhile, place meat chunks on rimmed baking sheet, leaving space between each piece and place in freezer for 10 minutes until meat is firm, but not frozen.
3. Combine meat in large bowl and toss to combine. Pass meat through grinder twice. Form into four disks, about 2-inches tall, and 4-6 inches wide. Refrigerate until ready for use.
4. Prepare a grill, oil grate. Brush buns with butter, then grill until golden-brown. Reserve.
5. Make special sauce by combining the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, chopped dill pickle, and spices.
6. Spread 1 tablespoon sauce on top half of each grilled bun. Place 1 leaf lettuce and 2 slices tomato on top half of each bun.
7. Grill patties to desired doneness, and after turning patties, place a slice of the cheese on each portion. Remove from grill and top each patty with 4 bacon slices.
8. Place top of buns with the condiments on top of the bacon, and serve immediately.Other ideas
Burgers can be prepared in a cast-iron skillet or broiled, but grilling is best!
