- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 6 Tablespoons margarine/butter
- 1-1/3 cups half & half
- 1/4 cup dried fruit or nuts, if desired
Mix the flour and margarine together until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add fruit and nuts. Add half & half gradually and mix until a soft dough is formed. Turn onto a floured board surface and shape into a round 1/2-inch thick. Cut out biscuits to desired shapes and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes.
