World’s best sugar cookies. These are always better the next day and they are habit forming.
Ready in: 1 hour
Ingredients
Makes: 4 dozen- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup canola oil
- 5 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 15 mins | Extra time: 30 mins, chilling1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Cream sugars, salt and butter. Add eggs, vanilla, oil. Sift in flour, soda and cream of tarter and mix well. Put it in your frigadair for about 30 minutes to let it get a little cold and rest.
3. Roll into balls about the size of a walnut and put it on a cookie sheet that has been lined with ungreased parchment paper or foil. Press down slightly with a glass that has been dipped in white sugar.
4. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
