Wok seared chicken and summer vegetables recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | asparagus, woody ends removed, cut into 3cm pieces |
200 g | carrots, pelled and sliced |
30 g | ginger, grated |
1 | red hot chilli pepper, chopped |
400 g | chicken breast fillet, cut into strips |
3 tbsp | sesame seeds, toasted |
6 tbsp | soy sauce |
125 ml | rice wine |
2 tsp | sesame oil |
2 tbsp | groundnut oil |
salt | |
250 g | snow peas |
Instructions
In a wok, heat the groundnut oil. Stir-fry the meat until golden all around. Remove from the wok and set aside. Add the asparagus and the carrots into the wok and sear for 2-3 minutes. Add the snow peas, ginger and chilli and stir-fry for another minute.Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil and the rice wine. Return the meat and cook just until hot again. Serve immediately, sprinkled with sesame seeds.
