This is a spicy chili. I add habanero pepper to spice it up even more. The time spent on this is well worth the effort. Even better the next day.

Ingredients
Serves: 16- 10 slices bacon
- 1 pound hot Italian sausage links, sliced
- 3 pounds beef stew meat, diced
- 4 medium onions, chopped
- 2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 garlic clove, minced
- 4 pickled jalapeno peppers,rinsed & chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 5 cups water
- 2 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 (15 1/2) ounce can pinto beans, drained
Preparation method
Prep: 45 mins | Cook: 2 hours1. In large saucepan cook bacon until crisp, drain bacon, and crumble. Discard drippings; set bacon aside.
2. Brown sausage in same pan. Drain sausage, reserving 2 tablespoons fat. Set sausage aside.
3. In reserved drippings, brown diced beef, onions, green pepper, and garlic.
4. Add the cooked bacon, sausage, jalapeno peppers, chili powder, crushed red pepper,
5. salt and oregano. Stir in water and tomato paste.
6. Bring to boiling; simmer, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
7. Stir in beans; simmer, covered, 30 minutes more.
