Vegetarian hamburger recipe details
Ingredients
2 | hamburger buns, halved |
80 g | rolled oats |
½ | onion, chopped |
150 ml | vegetable stock |
1 tbsp | parsley, chopped |
salt and pepper | |
paprika powder | |
2 leaves | lettuce |
4 slice(s) | gherkins |
1 small | tomato, sliced |
2 tbsp | ketchup, french dressing or BBQ sauce |
1 tbsp | butter |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat a little butter and fry the onion over low heat until lucent. Stir in the rolled oats and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes. Pour in the vegetable stock and cook stirring until thickened. Season with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Stir in the parsley and mix well. Allow to stand for 10 minutes.Shape 2 burger patties out of the mixture. In a saucepan, heat the remaining butter and fry the patties from both sides until golden brown.
Spread the lower hamburger halves with the sauce of your choice and layer with the lettuce leaves, patties, gherkins and tomatoes.
Cover with the upper halves and serve immediately.
