Veal rolls stuffed with tomato and goat s cheese recipe details
Ingredients
400 g | potatoes, peeled and grated |
1 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 | egg |
150 ml | milk |
salt and freshly ground black pepper | |
30 g | freshly grated Cheddar cheese |
2 | sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and diced |
3 tbsp | goat’s cheese |
2 large | veal escalopes, thin cut, 150g each |
1 tbsp | oil |
125 g | beef stock |
75 g | single cream |
2 sprig(s) | marjoram |

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 175°C.Divide the garlic and the potatoes in a buttered casserole dish. Mix together the milk and the egg and season with salt and pepper. Equally pour the mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese and bake for 45 minutes.
Mix together the goat’s cheese and the tomatoes. Season the veal escalopes with salt and pepper and spread with the cheese mixture. Roll up the meat and tighten with toothpicks.
In a pan, heat the oil. Fry the veal rolls all around over high heat. Reduce the heat and cook the meat turning frequently for 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside. Pour in the stock and the cream and bring to a boil. Return the veal rolls and add the marjoram. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the marjoram. Season to taste the sauce with salt and pepper.
Serve together with the au gratin potatoes.
