Ingredients

400 g	potatoes, peeled and grated
1 clove(s)	garlic, minced
1	egg
150 ml	milk
	salt and freshly ground black pepper
30 g	freshly grated Cheddar cheese
2	sun-dried tomatoes in oil, drained and diced
3 tbsp	goat’s cheese
2 large	veal escalopes, thin cut, 150g each
1 tbsp	oil
125 g	beef stock
75 g	single cream
2 sprig(s)	marjoram
	sugar

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 175°C.

Divide the garlic and the potatoes in a buttered casserole dish. Mix together the milk and the egg and season with salt and pepper. Equally pour the mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with the Cheddar cheese and bake for 45 minutes.

Mix together the goat’s cheese and the tomatoes. Season the veal escalopes with salt and pepper and spread with the cheese mixture. Roll up the meat and tighten with toothpicks.

In a pan, heat the oil. Fry the veal rolls all around over high heat. Reduce the heat and cook the meat turning frequently for 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside. Pour in the stock and the cream and bring to a boil. Return the veal rolls and add the marjoram. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove the marjoram. Season to taste the sauce with salt and pepper.

Serve together with the au gratin potatoes.
