When it gets cold weather my family loves this chili to warm up with it. Serve with corn chips and shredded cheese.
Ready in: 1 hour 50 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 12- 3 lbs boneless stew beef, cut into 1/2 inch cubes or 3 lbs ground beef.
- 2 cups chopped onions
- 1 cup bell pepper chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 to 2 jalapeno peppers diced
- 2 cans {28oz} diced tomatoes
- 1 can (6oz) tomato paste
- 8 beef bouillon cubes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons crushed oregano leaves
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 cups water
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 1 hour 30 mins1. In Dutch oven,brown beef. If using ground beef pour off the fat. Add onions, bell peppers,garlic and jalapeno.Cook and stir until tender.
2. Add remaining ingredients,cover and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes,reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
