Ingredients
4 medium | eggs |
250 g | butter, soft |
250 g | sugar |
300 g | flour |
1 pack(s) | baking powder |
5 tbsp | milk |
butter, to grease | |
250 g | icing sugar |
3 tbsp | lukewarm water |
food colouring, of your choice |
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 190°C.In a bowl, whisk the butter with the sugar until creamy. Whisk in the eggs. Stir in the sieved flour and the baking powder. Pour the batter into a deep and buttered baking tray and bake for 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool.
In a small bowl, mix together the icing sugar and the water. Add more water if the mixture is not smooth enough. Stir in the food colouring and mix well. Spread the cake with the glaze. Allow to dry.
