Tony's smoky baked beans recipe details
Easy to throw together and by using the slow cooker it doesn’t require much attention.

Ingredients
Serves: 12- 1/2 pound bacon cut into quarter inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, diced
- 3 – 15.5 ounce. cans pinto beans
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 cup your favorite BBQ sauce (I use Bull’s Eye(R) Brand)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons liquid smoke (hickory)
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 3 hours1. Cook bacon in fry pan until it just begins to crisp. Stir in onion and garlic and cook until softened (5 to 8 mins.)
2. Combine beans, bacon, onions, garlic and remaining ingredients into slow cooker and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Remove lid about halfway through cooking to thicken if desired. If need be, you can also add water to keep from getting too dry.
