Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Topping:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 25 mins1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
2. Combine ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until beef is browned thoroughly; pour off excess liquid, then stir in marinara sauce and season with salt and pepper.
3. Simmer sauce for about 10 minutes to thicken and heat through. Pour into 4 individual ramekins and set on a baking sheet.
4. To make the biscuit topping: In a bowl, whisk flour with cheese, baking powder, salt, and Italian seasoning. Add milk and butter, then drop over each ramekin.
5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until biscuits are lightly browned.
