Tomato chutney recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | tomatoes, skinned and chopped |
1 | apple, cored, peeled and chopped |
1 large | onion, very finely chopped |
100 g | sultanas, very finely chopped |
120 g | brown sugar |
250 ml | cider vinegar |
2 tsp | mustard seeds, lightly crushed |
2 tsp | ginger, very finely chopped |
2 tsp | salt |
¼ tsp | cayenne pepper |
Instructions
Combine all ingredients but the sultanas in a saucepan and simmer stirring occasionally until tomatoes and apples are soft. Stir in the sultanas and bring to the boil. Boil until the desired consistency is obtained and fill chutney into sterilized twist off glasses.Preparation time:
