Tilapia fish biryani recipe details
Ingredients1. Tilapia fish fillets, cubed marinated with Cajun spice mixture (1lb or 16oz)
2. diced onion (1large)
3. diced carrot (1large)
4. diced bell pepper (1large)
5. basmati rice (1c)
6. water (1600ml)
7. chopped tomato (1 medium)
8. ginger paste (1tbsp)
9. lemon juice (of 1 lemon)
10. sugar
11. salt and pepper (to taste)
12. chopped green onion (1)
Method of preparation
1. Take basmati rice, wash them and then cook them in microwave. Stir the rice in between and then keep them aside.
2. While rice is being cooked, clean and dice the vegetables. Saute the vegetables with the spices. Now saute quickly the marinated cubes of fish fillets in the microwave.
3. Take a pot, Put the layer of rice in the bottom, top it with fish fillets. Add another rice layer and then top it with vegetables and again the rice layer.
4. Put the chopped green onions on the top. Cover the pot and keep it to simmer for sometime. When the biryani gets ready then serve it with raita.
