Tiffin recipe details
Ingredients
125 g | unsalted butter, softened |
1 tbsp | sugar |
2 tbsp | drinking chocolate |
1 tbsp | golden syrup |
2 tbsp | raisins |
250 g | rich tea or digestive biscuits |
150 g | good quality milk chocolate |
Instructions
Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan. Add the raisins and drinking chocolate and bring to a boil. Allow to boil for 2-3 minutes.Crush the biscuits in a blender and mix into the hot chocolate mixture.
Press into a parchment lined 8×11 inch, 20x28cm shallow baking tin. Push the mixture down well.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water or in a microwave and spread it over the top.
Leave to set in a cool place and then cut into 15 or 24 pieces with a sharp knife. Store in an airtight tin.
