swedish fruit compote recipe details
Ingredients
200 g | blueberries |
200 g | blackberries |
200 g | strawberries, hulled |
120 ml | apple juice |
240 ml | water |
60 ml | maple syrup |
1 tbsp | cornstarch |
¼ tsp | cinnamon |
mint leaves, for garnish |
Instructions
Place all berries in separate bowls.Combine apple juice, water and maple syrup in a medium saucepan. Place cornstarch in a small bowl and stir in 60ml of the apple juice mixture. Then add cornstarch back to pan.
Add blueberries and cinnamon and bring to a simmer. Stir in blackberries and strawberries and remove from heat.
Refrigerate and let cool completely. Gently stir in raspberries. Serve in large wine glasses and garnish each portion with a mint leaf.
