Ingredients
For the Crust Ingredients
1. Flour (2c)
2. active dry yeast (1 1/2tsp)
3. milk (1/3c)
4. salt (1/2tsp)
5. softened butter, cut in small pieces (6tbsp)
6. white sugar (1/4c)
7. egg (1)
For Topping Ingredients
1. Heavy cream or whipping cream (1c)
2. eggs (2)
3. raw sugar (3/4c)
4. butter (2tbsp)
Method of preparation
1. Take a saucepan, place it over heat and heat milk in it until it gets warm to touch. Then take off the pan from heat and mix yeast in it until it gets dissolve.
2. Take a mixing bowl, put flour in it and form a well in the center of it. Add milk, egg, salt, butter and sugar in it. Mix it with wooden spoon to form stiff dough.
3. Then cover the dough with plastic wrapper and keep it for about 1 to 3 hours in warm place to rise double in volume.
4. Take a non stick cake pan or pie tin of 10-inch. Fit the risen dough in the bottom of the pan. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F and keep the dough to risen for about 15 minutes, while warming the oven. Dust raw sugar over the dough.
5. Take a bowl, beat two eggs in it and then beat the heavy cream in it until it gets mixed. Then pour it on the top of the sugar topped dough.
6. Cut the 2 tablespoon of butter into 20 small pieces and place them on the top of the pie. Now place the pie in oven and bake it for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees F. Then take out the pie from the oven and serve it warm.
