Strawberry Cream French Toast recipe

- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 2 large eggs
- 3 Tablespoons water
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 8 slices (about 1-inch thick French bread)
- 2 cups crushed corn flakes
- confectioner’s sugar
- strawberry cream sauce
- fresh berries for garnish
- Cream Sauce:
- One 10-ounce package frozen sweetened strawberries (thawed)
- 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
In a medium bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Dip the bread slices into mixture and then coat each side with cereal. Heat a buttered skillet and cook each piece until golden and crisp. To serve, place two pieces of toast on each plate; sprinkle lightly with confectioner’s sugar. Garnish with strawberry cream sauce and strawberries.
Cream sauce: Mix the strawberries with the sour cream or yogurt and cinnamon.
