Ingredients
Serves: 1- 1 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2/3 cups quick cooking oats
- 4 cloves, crushed
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4 cardamom pods, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon crushed almonds
- 1 tablespoon plain yogurt or cream
Preparation method
Prep: 5 mins | Cook: 10 mins1. Place water in a medium or small pot, add salt, sugar and spices and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and add oats, and cook until thick, then stir in the milk slowly, so oats become thick and creamy, add more milk if needed. Put into a bowl and top with crushed almonds and yogurt or cream.
