sparkling wine and strawberry dessert recipe details
Ingredients
1 bottle(s) | sparkling wine, semi-dry, 0.75l |
2 packet(s) | custard powder, cream flavoured, for 1/2l milk |
6 tbsp | sugar |
750 g | strawberries |
2 tbsp | sugar |
500 g | mascarpone, cream cheese |
Instructions
Pour approximately 100ml sparkling wine in a bowl, mix in the 2 packets of custard powder and 6 tablespoons of sugar.Bring the remaining sparkling wine to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in the custard powder mix and heat again, stirring until well combined. Transfer the blancmange into a bowl, cover with cling film and allow to cool completely.
Wash, then drain the strawberries. Purèe 1/3 of the strawberries with sugar. Quarter the remaining berries.
Stir together the blancmange and the Mascarpone . Evenly divide the puréed strawberries into 12 dessert glasses. Fill the blancmange and Mascarpone cream into a piping bag with a large nozzle, then extrude on the puréed strawberries. Place the quartered strawberries on top.
Keep cool until to serve.
