Ingredients
400 g | spaghetti |
500 g | minced meat |
6 clove(s) | garlic, minced |
1 large | onion, finely chopped |
125 g | breadcrumbs, dried |
200 g | Parmesan cheese, grated |
1 large | egg |
1 tbsp | Italian herbs, dried |
1 can(s) | tomatoes, finely chopped |
2 tbsp | olive oil |
250 ml | water |
salt and pepper to taste |
Instructions
In a bowl mix egg, 50ml water, 1 teaspoon salt and some pepper. Stir in half the onions and half the garlic, add minced meat, breadcrumbs, cheese and Italian herbs. Mix and form into 20 balls.Heat oil in a large pan, add the meatballs and brown on all sides. Remove meatballs. Add remaining onions until soft, add garlic and Italian herbs, season with salt and pepper, Stir in tomatoes and remaining water, return meatballs and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes.
Prepare spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente. Transfer spaghetti to serving plates with meatballs in tomato sauce on top. Sprinkle with some more Parmesan cheese.
