Ingredients
Serves: 4- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1/2 cup Chopped Onion
- 1/2 cup Chopped Celery
- 1/4 cup Chopped Green Pepper
- 2 cups Tomato Puree
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Water
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 1 hour1. Preheat oven to 400 Degrees.
2. Brown the beef in a skillet and add the vegetables and saute until medium soft; drain fat.
3. Stir in the vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and 1 cup of water.
4. Pour the whole mess into a 11 X 7 casserole dish and toss it in the oven.
5. Bake for 1 hour. Serve on hamburger buns.Alternate method
Brown the beef and drain it and place in a slow cooker. add the vegetables and the rest of the ingredients , stir well and cook on low for 4 hours.
