Ingredients
Serves: 8- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 large onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- 1 packet chili seasoning mix
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 (16 ounce) cans spicy chili beans
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Preparation method
Prep: 30 mins | Cook: 8 hours1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high. Add onion and garlic and cook for about 5 minutes, until just before onions start to turn brown. Add ground beef and cook until brown, stirring often. Transfer to a 6-quart slow cooker.
2. Stir in remaining ingredients, cover, and cook on LOW for 8 hours.Alternate Method
Cook on HIGH for 4 hours.
