simple salmon recipe details
Savory lemon dill salmon cooked on the grill in foil (no mess). It’s quick and easy.
Ready in: 50 mins
Ingredients
Serves: 6- 6 salmon fillets, rinsed and cut about 2 inches wide
- 12 cloves garlic, peeled and cut lengthwise
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons fresh dill
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 12 lemon rounds (1/4 inch thick)
Preparation method
Prep: 20 mins | Cook: 30 mins1. Heat grill to Medium-High.
2. Pull off enough aluminum foil to double-wrap the fillets in a tent style wrapping. Place fillets on foil.
3. Use a paring knife and stab the fillets in a vertical fashion so you can insert garlic into the pockets. Do not go all the way to the foil!
4. Insert 2 cloves of garlic per fillet. Cut the butter into pats, enough for 2 or 3 per fillet. Place pats of butter on top of fillet and use the olive oil to give a drizzle.
5. Sprinkle with fresh dill. Salt and pepper to taste and place lemon rounds on top of the fillets.
6. Fold up your long sides of foil, leaving some space for juices, then fold down the edges to about 2 inches from the top of the fish. Fold in the sides to seal. Use a tooth pick to make 1 (one) tiny steam hole.
7. Place packets on grill for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not touch them or open the packets. It’ll cook, trust me! Open carefully!!!Serving Suggestion
Serve with yellow squash and zucchini cut and halved with butter, salt, and pepper, and any other herb you’d like to use. A tent-style foil works well also.
