A slight variation on the popular Shepherds Pie using a pre-mixed vegetable/pasta mix and topping it off with yams/sweet potato.
Ready in: 1 hour
Ingredients
Serves: 6- 3 medium size yams / sweet potato
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 0.25 cups milk
- 1.5 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 bag Green Giant(R) Pasta, Broccoli, Carrots, Sugar Snap Peas & Garlic Sauce
- 1 can beef gravy
- spices to taste
Preparation method
Prep: 15 mins | Cook: 45 mins1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. Cook yams/sweet potato, adding butter and milk when mashing them up.
3. Brown beef in a fry pan.
4. Add the bag of Green Giant Pasta, Broccoli, Carrots, Sugar Snap Peas & Garlic Sauce and gravy. Mix thoroughly and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Transfer beef/vegetable mix to casserole dish. Top with mashed yams/sweet potato.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
