Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine
3 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup coconut or nuts
Instructions:

Put sugar, cocoa, milk, and margarine in a saucepan. Boil rapidly for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and add vanilla, oatmeal, and coconut (or nuts). Drop on waxed paper by teaspoonfuls.

Makes: about 45 cookies
