sauerkraut with curry recipe details
Ingredients
20 g | lard |
2 tbsp | curry powder |
1 tsp | cumin |
125 ml | white wine, dry |
500 g | sauerkraut |
2 tbsp | mango chutney |
salt |
Instructions
In a saucepan, heat the lard. Stir in the curry and cumin. Cook over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Do not burn the curry! Add the sauerkraut and cook stirring for another minute. Pour in the wine and season with salt. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Stir in the chutney and simmer for 5 more minutes.Serve with mashed potatoes and chicken or pork curry.
