Rump steak with sweet wine sauce recipe details
Ingredients
2 | Rump Steaks |
½ tsp | salt |
pepper, freshly ground | |
For the wine sauce: | |
3 tbsp | port |
120 ml | vegetable broth |
½ tsp | salt |
2 | sping onions, chopped |
1 tsp | prepared mustard |
3 tsp | flour |
Instructions
For the sauce mix all the sauce ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to the boil.Cook for several minutes, until thickened, whilst stirring. Keep warm.
Preheat a ridged pan until hot and grill the meat for 5-7 minutes in total (rare) or 7-10 minutes (medium).
Season the steaks with salt and pepper and serve with the sweet wine sauce.
