Rosemary shortbread recipe details
Ingredients
125 g | butter |
60 ml | sugar |
275 ml | flour |
30 ml | fresh rosemary leaves, finely chopped |
sugar for dipping |
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar well. Mix in flour and rosemary. Roll dough into walnut size balls and place on a greased baking tray. Grease the bottom of a glass and dip in sugar. Press balls flat with the glass, repeating the sugar dip as necessary.Bake cookies at 180° C for about 15 minutes, until pale golden brown.
Please do not use dried rosemary; it does not come close to the taste of fresh rosemary.
Instead of plain sugar, vanilla sugar is also nice.
