Ingredients

240 g shortening
240 ml corn syrup
1 tsp butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
900 g confectionersí sugar
½ tsp salt

Instructions

Combine shortening and corn syrup in a mixing bowl and beat until creamy. Add butter, vanilla and salt. Beat until blended. Add sugar and blend thoroughly until mixture is very stiff. Place icing on a work surface and knead until smooth.

Store icing in a sealed plastic bag then place bag in an airtight container. Keeps in the refrigerator for 4-8 weeks.
