Rich and tasty chocolate easter cake recipe details
Ingredients
100 g | butter |
150 g | milk chocolate with nuts, crushed |
2 tbsp | syrup |
50 g | hazelnuts, halved |
180 gallon(s) | amaretti biscuits, crushed |
80 g | dried figs, quartered |
220 ml | chocolate sauce |
cocoa powder |
Instructions
Grease a loaf tin (19cm x 9.5cm x 5cm deep)and line with baking paper.Combine the butter, chocolate and syrup in a bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water. Cook and stir until melted. Set aside.
Roast the nuts in a frying pan until nicely browned.
Combine the melted chocolate mix, roasted nuts, biscuits and figs together. Mix well. Spoon into the loaf tin, smoothing the top. Leave in the fridge to set for 3 hours.
To serve, turn out onto a plate and drizzle over the chocolate sauce. Decorate with chocolate eggs and cocoa.
