Rhubarb banana dessert recipe details
Ingredients
500 g | rhubarb |
4 tbsp | sugar |
2 tbsp | vanilla sugar |
1 | orange, the grated peel of it |
2 | bananas |
250 ml | heavy cream |
lemon juice | |
some | mint leaves (optional) |
Instructions
Unpeel rhubarb, cut into 2 cm long pieces, sprinkle with sugar and toss well. Wait until rhubarb produced enough juice, then add vanilla sugar, orange peel, and 2 tablespoon of water. Bring to a boil and steam for about 5 minutes.Leave to cool.
Smash one of the bananas, cut the other one in rings and sprinkle with some lemon juice. Stir in the cold rhubarb.
Whip heavy cream, and mix carefully with fruits.
Garnish with some banana rings and with some mint leaves, if you like, and serve.
