Raspberry jubilee recipe details
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2-1/2 Tablespoons butter
- 6 slices French bread (1 inch thick)
- One 8-ounce package cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1 cup raspberries, fresh or frozen
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt 2-1/2 Tablespoons butter in small saucepan and stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar; stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour liquid into a 9-inch baking dish and set aside.
Spread cream cheese on each slice of bread (it should be thick). Combine 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of cream cheese. Cube the bread and place in the baking dish. Place raspberries on top of bread. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar and butter over the bread cubes. Beat eggs, milk, and vanilla together; pour over the bread. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Remove plastic wrap and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes until inserted knife comes clean. Serve with whipped cream.
