Pumpkin punch recipe details
Ingredients
1 medium | pumpkin |
300 g | sugar |
2 l | dry red wine |
100 ml | almond liqueur |
lemon balm |
Instructions
Bring the sugar with one litre of wine to a boil. Cut off the upper third of the pumpkin. Scoop out the inside of the pumpkin and discard the seeds and the soft flesh. Scoop out 20 small pumpkin balls. Add the pumpkin balls into the prepared sugar wine, cook for a minute and let cool completely.Pour a dash of the almond liqueur into the scooped out pumpkin and tilt the pumpkin. Mix the sugar wine with the remaining wine and the remaining almond liqueur and pour into the pumpkin.
Serve garnished with the pumpkin balls and a few sprigs of lemon balm.
