Ingredients
butter, fro greasing | |
50 g | oatmeal |
1 tbsp | flour |
750 ml | milk |
1 medium | egg, beaten |
1 pinch(es) | salt |
2 ½ ml | grated orange rind |
Instructions
Grease a pie dish with a bit of butter and preheat oven to 180°C.Combine oatmeal and flour in a bowl and mix to a smooth paste, adding a bit of milk.
Pour the remaining milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Then pour it over the oatmeal mixture, stirring all the time.
Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring all the time. Remove from the heat and leave to cool for 5 minutes.
Beat the egg into the cooled oatmeal mixture. Season with salt and orange rind. Then pour the mixture into the prepared pie dish, and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Serve hot with cream.
